This is a story about how our team quickly solved a lighting challenge.
One day, a friend came to us seeking help with two light fixtures from the Z…. e brand that they had outsourced to another factory. The materials and design were flawless, but the core issue was the light effect. The original lights used a common light source, which resulted in the projected light being too scattered , failing to clearly display the necessary “Little Bear/Devil” and “Spider Web” patterns.

The constraint was severe: my friend had an imminent meeting with their European client, and we were absolutely unable to alter the lamp’s original structure. The timing was even more critical because these lamps were rush orders intended for sales leading up to Halloween.
1.The Solution: COB Point Light Source
We immediately recognized that the problem hinged on the light source. In a high-pressure 24-hour turnaround, our professional design team successfully fixed the samples by executing precise cutting and welding, and most importantly, replacing the generic light source with a COB (Chip-on-Board) point light source. This modification immediately delivered the required sharp projection effect.
2.The Results and Success
The results were astonishing! For the Devil/Little Bear lamp, the vague, scattered projection was transformed into a sharp, perfectly defined shadow silhouette.

For the Spider Web lamp, where the original light only illuminated the internal structure, our modification enabled the lamp to project a clear, detailed spider web pattern onto the ceiling. We had perfectly achieved the effect the client desired.

Despite the heavy workload and tight deadline, our team completed both samples in just one day.
3.Another issue arises after the sample passes
Here is where the situation worsened: the production factory that was handling the mass order could not locate the proper light source required to achieve our successful, focused projection. This was a critical supply chain and technical failure on their part, even after we had shown the perfect solution.
To ensure my friend’s order went smoothly, we took the essential extra step: we sent them an identical light source that we had used in our successful sample and provided detailed guidance on how to adjust the necessary parameters for implementation at their production facility.
In just one day, our colleagues completed both samples perfectly. My friend successfully held the meeting with the European client and secured the order. Although we will not be producing this order or benefiting financially, seeing our friend resolve the crisis and secure the business made us genuinely happy.
