Care Instructions
In order to maintain the beauty of your luxury light fixtures, we recommend that you follow these simple guidelines. When cleaning the fixture, make sure you unplug it first. Always make sure that spray or liquids do not get into the fixture fittings.
Cleaning & Maintenance
For general maintenance, dust off the fixture with a chicken feather duster or a soft clean cloth regularly, preferably once a week.
Metal Finishes
Clean metal surfaces with a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use scouring agents, abrasive sponges, hydrochloric acid, vinegar (acetic acid) cleaners, ammonia or metal silicates. That is never use cleaners containing ammonia, bleach or hard chemicals and avoid using paper towels or scouring pads.
Glass
Do not use abrasive materials to clean the glass as they may cause scratches. Use an appropriate glass cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. If using chemical cleaners, be careful not to splash on surrounding metal finishes. After drying with a soft cloth, you can use a piece of crumpled newspaper to make the glass shine even more. For Mercury Glass: Clean with a feather duster. Wiping with a cloth or cleaning solvents may remove antiquing.
Acrylic
Avoid commercial household cleaners as the chemicals in these products can dull and crack acrylic surfaces. The best way to care for acrylic surfaces, rods and parts is to clean them with lukewarm water and a small amount of soap solution. Then rinse with water and air dry. Always use a soft cloth when cleaning to avoid scratching the acrylic surface.
Marble, Granite & Agate
Clean marble, granite and onyx with lukewarm water and some neutral soap. Gently wipe the surface with a soft damp cloth or chamois. Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth. Never use cleaners containing acids, ammonia, bleach or hard chemicals and avoid using paper towels and scouring pads.
Ceramic
Clean ceramics with lukewarm water, pH-neutral, sulfate-free cleaners and a soft sponge or washcloth. Avoid using loofahs, scrub brushes and other materials that may scratch the surface. If the ceramic surface has grooves, use a soft brush to remove dirt from the grooves. Rinse well with water. After cleaning, dry the surface with a soft cloth or chamois.
