Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Application: 5-Star Hotel Grand Ballroom & Wedding Hall
Product Selected: Tikanna MGC22808 Custom Wave Glass Chandelier
1.Project Background & Challenge
The Vision: The client, a newly established luxury hotel in Riyadh, required a lighting masterpiece for their 1,200 sqm column-free Grand Ballroom. The venue is designed to host Royal weddings, international summits, and VIP galas.
The Challenge: With a ceiling height of 8 meters, standard chandeliers felt insignificant in such a vast volume. The client wanted a design that was “modern yet majestic,” avoiding traditional crystal styles while maintaining the grandeur preferred in the Middle East.
2.The Solution: “Dunes in the Sky”
Design Concept: Drawing inspiration from the rolling sand dunes of the Arabian Desert and the fluidity of water, we utilized the modular nature of the Tikanna Banquet Hall Glass Chandelier 2 to create a massive, undulating matrix.
Customization Details:
Scale: A custom split-matrix layout covering a length of over 20 meters, perfectly filling the ceiling’s visual void.
Material: Thousands of high-transmittance frosted white glass cubes were used to diffuse light softly, creating a cloud-like texture rather than harsh glare.
Structure: Each pendant’s suspension length was precisely calculated to form a 3D wave motion, adding dynamic rhythm to the static ceiling.
3.The Result
Visual Impact: The installation acts as the crown jewel of the ballroom. When illuminated, the “waves” of light create a breathtaking, immersive atmosphere. The frosted glass softens the LED light, providing flattering illumination for photography during weddings and events.
Operational Success: Despite its massive size, the modular design allowed for efficient shipping and straightforward on-site assembly, meeting the project’s tight opening deadline.
4.Client Testimonial
“We were looking for something spectacular that speaks the language of modern luxury. This chandelier is not just lighting; it is an art installation that transforms the entire mood of our ballroom. Our guests are consistently amazed by the scale and beauty.”
