1.Project Overview
For the renovation of a prestigious 5-star hotel lobby in Dubai, the client sought a statement lighting fixture to define the main reception area. The goal was to create an immediate sense of arrival and opulence that reflects the high standards of hospitality in the UAE. Tikanna Lighting was selected to provide a custom-scaled version of our “Front Desk Crystal Chandelier” to serve as the glowing centerpiece above the concierge station.
2.The Challenge
The hotel lobby features expansive marble floors, high ceilings, and rich gold architectural details. The primary challenge was scale and cohesion. The reception desk is over 5 meters long; standard-sized chandeliers looked insignificant and disjointed against such a grand backdrop. The client required a single, continuous fixture that could match the desk’s length while providing brilliant, functional illumination for staff and a dazzling visual experience for checking-in guests.
3.The Tikanna Solution
Our design team proposed an elongated version of our rectangular crystal rod chandelier, customized to a length of 4 meters to create perfect visual symmetry with the desk below.
Gold Finish for Luxury: We specified a high-quality electroplated brushed gold finish for the frame, perfectly matching the existing gold accents in the lobby’s ornate archways and wall panels.
Premium Crystal Brilliance: The fixture utilizes densely packed, high-grade K9 crystal rods. The precision cutting of the crystals ensures maximum light refraction, creating a sparkling, diamond-like effect that is highly sought after in the Middle East luxury market.
Functional Lighting: Integrated high-CRI warm LED strips provide uniform, shadow-free light downward onto the work surface, ensuring functionality without compromising aesthetics.
4.The Result
The installed chandelier serves as a magnificent focal point, successfully anchoring the vast lobby space. The shimmering golden light elevates the guest experience from the moment they enter. The hotel management expressed high satisfaction with the build quality and the luxurious ambiance the fixture creates, noting it perfectly embodies the “golden standard” of UAE hospitality.
