1.Descripción general del proyecto

Located on the pristine beachfront of Nusa Dua, Bali, this 5-star wellness resort is a sanctuary of peace. The project focuses on the “Sunset Relaxation Lounge,” a semi-open pavilion featuring a soaring traditional bamboo roof, intricate stone carvings, and luxurious rattan furniture. The client sought a lighting centerpiece that would resonate with the resort’s “organic luxury” philosophy—something that felt majestic yet natural, avoiding the coldness of modern industrial fixtures.

2.El desafío

Designing for a tropical, semi-outdoor environment presented three distinct challenges:
Material Harmony: Standard clear crystals or shiny chrome would look out of place against the rustic bamboo ceiling and teak wood. The fixture needed a texture that mimicked natural materials like shell, alabaster, or amber.
Climate Resilience: The lounge is open to the ocean breeze. The fixture had to be engineered to withstand high humidity and salt air without rusting or corroding over time.
Weight vs. Scale: The conical roof is over 10 meters high, requiring a very long fixture to fill the void. However, the bamboo structure has weight limitations. Real stone (alabaster) would be too heavy; a lightweight alternative was essential.

3.La solución Tikanna

We crafted the “Bali Amber Cascade,” a tiered chandelier designed to look like a glowing tropical flower:
Simulated Alabaster Resin: Instead of heavy stone or fragile glass, we used high-grade, UV-resistant resin with a “Faux Alabaster” finish. This material captures the creamy, warm translucency of natural stone but is 60% lighter and shatterproof—perfect for safety in a public zone.
Warm-Tone Diffusion: We selected 2400K (Candlelight Warm) LED sources. The resin slats diffuse this light into a buttery, golden glow that compliments the skin tones of guests relaxing after spa treatments.
Marine-Grade Structure: The internal metal frame was treated with a special “Oil-Rubbed Bronze” powder coating, double-sealed for marine environments. This dark, matte finish blends seamlessly with the dark wood beams of the roof.

4.El resultado

The chandelier hangs like a luminous stalactite from the bamboo ceiling. Guests describe the atmosphere as “magical” and “zen.” The client was particularly impressed that Tikanna achieved the look of heavy natural stone in a fixture lightweight enough to be safely installed on their traditional roof structure.
