1.Project Background

A top-tier 5-star hotel located in Jakarta, Indonesia, was undergoing a comprehensive renovation of its main conference hall. The client’s goal was to create a landmark space that could meet the dignified requirements of high-level international meetings while also showcasing unique artistic taste and a sense of luxury. They desired a stunning visual centerpiece for the immense ceiling.

2.Design Challenge

The conference hall boasts an extremely high ceiling and a vast area, posing a significant challenge for the scale of the lighting fixture. Ordinary chandeliers could not fill the immense visual void, while an overly heavy design would create an oppressive feeling. The design needed to introduce a fluid, light, yet grand art form into a serious business environment.

3.The Solution

We provided a large-scale custom art glass installation titled “Deep Blue Voyage.” The installation is composed of thousands of hand-blown glass elements in four tones: deep blue, light blue, gold, and clear. These elements are meticulously arranged into a massive, winding vortex shape, resembling a school of fish migrating in the ocean or a flowing galaxy swirling on the ceiling. This dynamic form successfully breaks the dullness of the square conference room space, while the accents of gold and blue perfectly echo the walnut wood finishes and warm lighting of the interior.

4.Project Result

The result of the completed conference hall is breathtaking. The “Deep Blue Voyage” installation sparkles under the light, its reflection flowing on the polished marble floor, injecting infinite life and vitality into the entire space. It not only provides ample lighting but has also become an unforgettable work of art, perfectly enhancing the hotel’s brand image and the class of the conference hall, winning high praise from the client.
